Building Bonds: SCOTS Recruits and Staff Come Together at ITC BBQ
The Royal Regiment of Scotland staff hosted a BBQ at ITC (Infantry Training Centre), Vimy Barracks, bringing together SCOTS-aligned recruits and permanent staff in a relaxed and informal setting. The event aimed to foster camaraderie and strengthen regimental bonds outside the training environment.
The BBQ provided an excellent opportunity for recruits to connect with their instructors and peers, while also engaging with representatives from 3 SCOTS and 5 SCOTS. This interaction with serving soldiers offered recruits valuable insights into life within the Regiment and helped to reinforce their sense of belonging to the SCOTS family.
Events like this are vital in fostering early integration and strengthening regimental identity. Battalions are strongly encouraged to continue visiting ITC to engage with permanent staff and potential recruits, ensuring the enduring success of The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
