Launch of Heritage Appeal at Mansion House
On Tuesday, 4 November 2025, The Royal Regiment of Scotland proudly hosted a fundraising dinner at the historic Mansion House in London, marking the official launch of our Heritage Appeal. At the heart of this campaign is the creation of the SCOTS statue, which will stand proudly in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, from summer 2026 to commemorate our 20th anniversary. This lasting tribute will honour the service and sacrifice of our soldiers and celebrate the Regiment’s enduring legacy.
The Heritage Appeal also aims to support benevolence and redevelop the SCOTS Museum in 2031, coinciding with our 25th anniversary, ensuring our history is preserved for future generations.
Guests from the City of London were welcomed into one of London’s most iconic venues for an evening steeped in Scottish tradition and regimental pride. The Lord Mayor graciously hosted the dinner, which brought together these distinguished guests alongside serving officers of the Regiment. The event featured a meet-and-greet with the Jocks, stirring performances by the Pipes and Drums and Band SCOTS, and a vibrant display of Highland dancing. A charity auction added to the excitement, offering unique experiences and memorabilia.
The evening was not only a celebration of our heritage but also a powerful statement of commitment to the future. Thanks to the generosity of our guests, we raised £40,917 on the night, making a strong start toward our overall target of £250,000.
