SCOTS St Andrews Reels Ball 2025
On 29 Nov 25, The Royal Regiment of Scotland Officers’ Association hosted its annual St Andrews Reels Ball—held for the first time in the magnificent Prestonfield House in Edinburgh, just a stone’s throw from Holyrood Palace. Guests enjoyed exquisite background music from the Regimental Band during a delicious three-course dinner, before the musicians struck up lively ceilidh sets that filled the dance floor. The 2 SCOTS Officers’ Mess, who had secured the lion’s share of seats, arrived well-prepared after dedicated reeling practice.
Between courses, the 2 SCOTS Pipe Major and his team delivered a superb pipe set, showcasing exceptional skill. The Mess also generously loaned centrepiece silverware, adding an elegant touch of Regimental heritage to the tables.
Looking ahead, RHQ hopes to fill the venue next year as the Regiment marks its 20th anniversary. The event will take place on Sat 28 Nov 26. It is open to all serving and veteran SCOTS officers—regular, reserve, and association members. Officers may host a table of ten, though individual tickets are also available. An invitation and FORM will be released in the near future to reserve your tables.
